  We offer fun and flexible summer camps at many locations. Our shows have no leads, everyone gets an equal sized part. Costumes and shows are always free. And after lowering our prices this year we are now offering the most affordable summer camps in town!

  Summer Camp – Johnson County

  2012 will be our 11th amazing summer of camps at Beth Torah. We offer five, two week camps back to back from June 4th until Aug 10th, 2012.  Also a four day camp, (Camp 1), May 29-June 1.  If your school does not get out until May 30 or 31 you can still come for just a day or two to this camp and we will pro-rate you.

  Our time frame is short, just two weeks, so you can fit a camp in easily with the rest of your summer schedule. You can take either a morning session or an afternoon session, or both and your child can stay through lunch. We offer optional before and after care from 8am-6pm. You can also enroll for more than one camp, as every camp does different shows, morning and afternoon. Enroll for at least 4 weeks and get 15% all camps. Enroll before May 18th and get 10% off. Enroll multiple kids at get 10% off. And those discount can be combined, (we’re working hard to save you money!).

  We Take Partials & Pro-Rate

  We are one of the few camps in town that take partials.  You can take just the first or second week of a camp, or even just a few days, and we always pro-rate, so you only pay for what you use.  And we are very flexible so your child still gets a great part in a fun show and we can work out times for them to perform their masterpiece for you and your family.  (Note: Our pro-rations are proactive and not retroactive, ie we can only pro-rate if we know your child’s schedule ahead of time.)

  Camp Dates & Prices

  Five, two-week camps, June 4-Aug 10, (also a one week camp May 29-June 1).  Half-day mornings, 10am-12:30pm and/or half day afternoons, 2-4:30pm.  Before & after care is also available 8am-6pm.

  $75/week for one class (either morn or aft)

  $125/week for two classes (morn+aft, same student only)

  $139/week for All Day, (8am-6pm)

  You can also pick up and drop at different times throughout the day if needed, (ie 8am-12:30pm, 12-5pm, ect….).  Call for details.

  Every class is offered every camp, both morning and afternoon.
  All classes can be repeated as every camp does different shows, songs & dances.

  

  A fun acting class where kids play drama games and get a fun part in a play.   What makes us unique is that our director, Mr. Miles, writes all of the shows from scratch, (he has written over 200 plays!). We usually have ‘boy’ shows, (Clones & Superheroes) and ‘girl’ shows, (Divas, Princesses & Chipmunks).  No auditions, students never have to try out.  No leads, all the parts are equal sized.  And everyone gets on stage a lot!  And every time you take another class with us you get to do a new show.  We have students who have done over 50 different plays with us.  The costumes are always free and kids get to pick out what they want to wear from our large selection.

  

  We challenge older students with bigger shows, more lines and advanced improvisation games.  Mr. Miles writes fun, crazy plays for them like “America’s Next Top Project Mean Girl Supermodel” and “Not Another Movie Where Everything Blows Up”.  The shows are very loud, very campy and very energetic.  We take all of that 4th-9th grade ‘crazy energy’ and channel it into great drama, (like kids that age need any more drama!).

  

  Kids get fun parts in original musicals where everyone gets a great part.  We like to do wacky shows, like “Shoes: The Musical” and “Not Another TV Show Where High Schoolers Gleefully Break Out Into Song”.   If students have never done a musical before that is no problem, Mr. Miles will work a part for them that is not too overwhelming yet fun and engaging.  And if they have done lots of show Mr. Miles can challenge them at their level.  And don’t worry, if kids really don’t want to sing and dance we won’t make them!  The goal with us is always to get them on stage in a way they are comfortable and excited about.

  

  Does your child listen to that dance song over and over and over again?  Are they dancing around the living room, putting on a performance for you?  Then this class is perfect for them.  A diva dance class filled with lots of fun song & dance routines. We do get some boys in this class, but it’s extremely popular with the little girls!  They will work on a mix of pop songs and show tunes.  No experience necessary, we tailor the class to the skill level of the students.  For the big show they get to pick out sparkly outfits to wear and they get a makeover too!

  

  A great class to let their creative side out.  Movie Star Acting sees students picking out costumes every day from our large selection then making up movies. Everyone gets to be whatever they want as they work together to make up fun, crazy movies.  Every day they watch what they’ve filmed.  At the end of the camp they have a movie party and get free DVDs of all of their films.  Very popular with boys and girls, young and old.

  Before / After Care

  What do they do for before and after care? Lots! Foosball, ping pong, pool tables, air hockey, puzzles, drawing tables, board games & more.  A Disco Room they can dance in, Movie Room to watch videos, (all G-rated).  And they are always supervised.

  

  So much fun to be had! Dance! Play games! Draw! Eat cheese puffs! It’s a non-stop party!

  Summer Camp-Mini Camps

  *Note: Grades denote what grade they will be in Fall ’12

  We offer camps at many locations around the KC Metro area, the Plaza, NKC and Lee’s Summit. With all of our Mini Camps you can choose half day morning, half day afternoon, or all day.  Full day students can stay through lunch at no extra charge, (they need to bring a sack lunch).  Shows are always on the last day of camp during class time.
